Instructors

Krystal Moss

(Edmonton, Alberta)

Crystal

Krystal Moss discovered Lindy Hop in 2007 and was instantly in love. And luckily, Lindy loved her back! Now, she organizes events, teaches weekly classes, and choreographs and performs with the vintage swing dance troupe, Mad Cat Swing. She's traveled to many swing dance events, including the Frankie95 Festival in New York, Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown in Minneapolis & New Orleans, and to the Seattle Lindy Exchange. She also competes - she's been a PLEX Solo Charleston Champion (Saskatoon, 2010), and a Lindy Bout finalist (Vancouver, 2010 & 2011). Krystal's creativity, smile, and style really shine up the dance floor; her love for the people and the dance makes her welcoming and attentive. You'll take one class from her and want to come back.

Kyle Murray

(Victoria, British Columbia)

Kyle

Kyle has been a fixture in swing dancing in the pacific northwest since falling in love with lindy hop and blues in the year 2000. As an instructor, Kyle has helped dancers connect with the music and each other for over 10 years, and loves nothing more than helping his students find their own "A-ha!" moments, whether it's learning a new move or casting something old in a new light. As a performer, he has been a part of Vancouver's Hot Koko and Ottawa's Swing Dynamite. And as a competitor, he is a Pacific Northwest Lindy Hop Champion, eight-time Lindy Bout finalist, and has competed at ULHS, ALHC, and many others. However, for Kyle, teaching, performing, and competing are all just stops and side trails on the road of social dancing, which is where his true passion lies, and which is where he still has the most fun every weekend.
